Twisted Heart
She tried to tempt me, almost made me stay,
but her frost burned brighter than her play.
I kept my distance, resisting her call,
showing less than I feel, but feeling it all.
Lying in smiles and hiding in fears,
feeding me venom hidden in cheers.
I gave my heart, but she built up the walls,
now all that remains are her silent calls.
I act colder than I ever feel,
love held back like it’s part of the deal.
Now she’s gone, I thought I wouldn’t miss,
haunted by the echo of our final kiss.
She tried to cage me, I crushed her prideful gaze,
her twisted heart forever trapped in my maze.
