Human among Humans
I’ve always believed in real friendship, in real love, in real brotherhood, in real humans.
Since I was a kid I’ve been told that there are no friends in this world, no real humans.
I never let that corrupt my mind. I believed. Even though the world proved me wrong many times, trying to prove my inadequacy.
I’ve always taken my relationships very seriously.
I was certain the people I was starting with would be there at the finish line.
Life proved me wrong.
You go shoulder to shoulder and then you look around and the closest ones aren’t that close anymore.
Soon to become strangers to you…
I still dream about my friends from time to time.
The ones that were there 10 years ago, 5 years ago,
the ones that were there from the start.
The jokes, the nicknames, the vision we shared. The adventures.
They probably don’t remember me.
I do.
Most people aren’t able to connect emotionally anymore.
They are empty. Hollow.
How can someone have hundreds of so called “friends”? Ask yourself.
Real friends. What even is a friend to you?
A guy you talk to?
Truly ask yourself.
Most don’t understand real friendship, brotherhood, love.
Because they themselves are not capable of it.
Because they are very superficial. Most are.
And they cannot be explained that.
Most will not understand.
Do you understand? Do you truly?
Statistically you don’t.
Ask yourself.
There is a quote from the movie Tombstone where Doc Holliday and Jack Johnson are standing in a standoff because Doc is there to protect his friend Wyatt Earp. It goes like:
Jack: “Doc, you oughta be in bed. What the hell you doin’ this for anyway?”
Doc: “Wyatt Earp is my friend.”
Jack: “Hell, I got lots of friends…”
Doc: “…I don’t.”
That’s very powerful. Very real.
The more superficial humans are, the easier they connect and let go of connections.
I’ve always taken everything very seriously.
I thought the people I started with, I was going to go with to the end. Once and for all.
Friends, family members, romantic relationships.
I was taught the better.
They don’t understand loyalty.
They don’t understand love.
They don’t understand brotherhood.
They have superficial values. Very surface level. Most are hollow.
I was always torn by why.
Why people choose to be ungrateful for the life they have been gifted?
Why they choose ego over love?
Why rudeness over kindness?
Why chaos over peace?
Why shallow over depth?
And the answers are simple:
They are weak, hurt, broken, protective of their fragile ego, scared.
That I always understood.
But still I was asking myself. Why?
Not out of trying to figure it out, but out of: why the fuck does it have to be that way?
A rhetorical question.
And to that I also found the answer.
As out of everything seemingly negative positive things emerge — so does out of this.
It becomes a filter.
A very strong filter, only keeping the real humans among humans there.
And there are very, very few of them left.
That gives the ability to build brotherhoods, to build legacies — empires on trust, on loyalty, on brotherhood.
That gives the ability to build families on love, on deep care.
That allows for the wise, for the selfless, for the real ones to come together, to bring greatness to the world and to lead by example.
One by one converting humans into humans.
And perhaps one day, there will be one more.
And then one more real one.
And before we know it, the world will be a better place because of us.
Perhaps then it will be all worth it.
That is not a simple thing to do.
You need to be the person who is capable of these things.
You need to be a real human in order to gather other real humans around you.
That’s why you need to wake up.
Train.
Do your best.
Get stronger.
Make money.
Improve.
Not for the money, the fame, the power.
For yourself.
To be a real human.
For you to be able to lead your brothers, your sisters, your friends, your parents, your loved ones, the people you care about.
That’s the goal.
You can lead by example.
You can be a human amongst humans.
A real one.
You can make people feel loved, warm, important, strong.
You can make them feel alive.
Light fires in their hearts and eyes.
You can be that person.
For all of your close ones. For strangers. For the world.
All you need to do is become the person you need to be in order to lead by example.
If that is what you are going for, your world will change faster than you believe.
Before you know it, real humans will surround you.
The ones that will be there to the end.
The real ones.
The ones that I was told do not exist all my life.
Trust me, they do.
You just need to become one of them.
You can do it.
The world depends on you.
The world needs you more than you could ever believe.
You actually matter.
Because there are not many of that kind left.
Be human among humans
I’m counting on you.
