Heading or Headed?

Most people think they have a goal.
But in reality, they only have a vague feeling—a direction connected to an emotion.

If you don’t know exactly where you’re heading,
you’re going to end up exactly where you’re headed.

You need to stop. Think.
Ask yourself: What’s my goal? What life do you want to live?

And don’t stay vague. Break it down.

What car do you want to drive and by when?
What house do you want to live in?
Where do you want to live?
What capabilities do you want to have?
What woman do you want by your side?
How much money do you want?
What do you want to do?
What do you want to fight for?
Who do you want around you?
What places do you want to visit?
What experiences do you want to make?

All of it, down to the smallest detail.

Then figure out the cost.
Is the way you’re making money right now going to get you where you want to be by when you want to be there?

If not… change direction.
Steer the ship. Otherwise, you’ll end up exactly where you’re headed.

Most people pedal their whole lives thinking they’re moving forward.
In reality, they end up disappointed, living someone else’s dream.
Most wake up weak and old, stuck in a giant hamster wheel generating electricity for the spaceship that’s headed where someone else’s dreams are.

Don’t be that person.
