Do You Want It Bad Enough?

Most people say they want to succeed.
They say they want to change.

But the truth?
They don’t want it bad enough.

There’s a story about Socrates.
A young man asked him how to become wise and successful.

Socrates told him:
“Meet me at the river tomorrow at dawn.”

The young man showed up.
They walked into the water until it reached his chest.

Suddenly, Socrates pushed his head underwater.
The young man thrashed, kicked, panicked—desperate for air—
Until finally Socrates pulled him up.

“When you want success as bad as you wanted that breath,”
Socrates said,
“Then you will find it.”

You will only change when your current situation suffocates you.
When staying the same feels unbearable.
When the thought of wasting your life
Chokes you harder than water ever could.

You have to make yourself feel that.
Analyze your life until the reality of staying average
Feels like drowning.

Until the only thing that matters
Is getting out.
Rising up.
Winning.

When you want your goal
As badly as you want your next breath,
You’ll do whatever it takes.

Because your life depends on it.
It always has.
You just haven’t realized it yet.

Wake up.
